| Not really an announcement just trying to get Yahmon's attention :p I was reading the forums and realised that the reason you couldn't play was because of a display problem with your new GFX card and computer set up. Get in touch with me, I'm pretty sure I can help you fix it, that's a fairly common problem with WoW and newer (and some older) graphics cards and I know some fixes that should work and get you back playing | |

| I see. Well that's a driver problem, either a faulty driver or a clash with the OS.
Whats the make and model of your video card? | |

| Actually, I've checked up, it's the driver that's reporting the problem and isn't the problem itself, that means that you have a faulty video card. If you just bought it I'd get it replaced it'll be under warranty. If it's one you already had, try re-installing your BIOS making sure it's up-to-date and see how it goes, other than that you'll need to get a new one. I personally wouldn't waste any money on repair guys since in my experience they have no idea what they're doing and would gladly charge you to take your PC, hold it for at least a week and come back to you saying "yea you're right it's broken". | |

| The vid card is NVIDIA GeForce 9800GT with 512mb RAM, it's been with this setup all the time (about 2 years or so) and I've formated and reinstalled windows 2 times after it broke, have updated all drivers etc (even tried to run comp in safety mode, completely delete the drivers and everything, then reboot comp again) , and nothing has helped. I have ordered NVIDIA GeForce 9800GT with 1gb RAM and it will be at my place in about 1-2 weeks (out of stock) I'm not 100% sure if it really is the vid card, or is it the Motherboard that's broken, but if it's the motherboard, I'll just have to order that too. It's quite a nice change of scenery to not to play 24/7 but do other stuff, so I don't really care that the vid card is taking so long or if I have to buy the Motherboard too, and money's not gonna be the problem. Might take a bit longer but will get there, eventually. Well, hope to see you guys online soon again. | |
