Aye, so as the title says my account has been hacked and the hackers have got an authenticator on it so I cannot even get it back it seems (Blizzard's own system works for the hackers) I couldn't get an authenticator myself as I didn't have some of the details they needed (God knows how the hackers have them).

Anyway, I had to let you guys know as I have no idea what will happen to the guild because of this, sorry to you all and I will try to do everything I can to get it fixed.

Getting hacked ain't as bad as it sounds like.

I've done the webform all 3 times I've been hacked, and it's worked great for me. Except on the last time it happened, my warlock did NOT get his gear back, for some reason. He did get the gold and trash he had, but no gear. I found no reason for this.
But anyway, it's really not so bad. Blizz will get rid of the authenticator, and get your gears back if you prove it's your account.
i.e. account's CD-key. If you don't have the CD-key anywhere, you can do this:
"Please provide a scanned scan or photo of a piece of government-issued photo identification, such as a passport or driving license matching the first and last name of the registered account owner. The file must be under 5MB and be in the jpg, gif, or bmp format."

When this is sent, it'll take a few days at max, and they'll e-mail you about you getting the account back, but it might take a couple more days for the items.
It usually has taken less than a week for everything to happen for me. I've never had CD-key to prove that the account is mine, so I've used the ID thingie once. Two first times, there was no authenticator so I could just go ingame and tell GM that I've been hacked and they sorted it out.

I have been hacked too, which is stupid on so many levels, as I'm not even playing at the moment.

I'm really annoyed as if they can get into my "account management" then they have details of my name, address, phone number and bank. Not good data security.

Love to know how they got my password and such, as I've not logged on for months.

They might have had your account info in store for a long time, but logged on it just recently, because they could've had so many accounts to deal with that they didn't have the time to do every account the minute they get the info.

Hopefully Blizzard will get ye accounts back peeps :p And thank gods gbank wasn THAT big, seen situations when guild with huge and full bank had their gmaster hacked. Cursed Blizzard didnt even return the stuff they stole :d

If I remember right, Blizz only returns X amount of mails with items, which always doesn't amount to all items that has been lost.
Things like Money and gear mostly come back, but not always. There's some cases where pieces of gear are missing.
The items you get might not even be enchanted/gemmed, not sure how they decide that, but I've gotten some pieces without enchants/gems and some pieces with them.
But yeah, let's hope Neccy gets his items back and everything can turn to normal everyday life.

On the birghter side of the news, I'll be getting my vid card in about 2-3 weeks, and I'll be back then.

Got my account back online already, Blizz were really on the ball with it and they kindly sent me some extra gold too Razz

My luck ended there though, lost out on a 2h axe in ICC 10 man, every bloody time anything drops I really want, if there's even one person who wants it too, I may as well not roll, the other guy rolls 11, I roll a f***ing 5!! Razz

Phew! Glad Blizz got you back, and so quickly too! I'd hate to see someone loose their account to those $%^*&$$'s.

So, it happened again already!

This time they even deleted most of my characters and frankly, I am pissed off.

I'll see how fast they get back to me, but at this time I am considering going back to Warhammer Online instead, never had this kind of shit to deal with on there and didn't have to buy extra security on a game that should already be secure by default.

maybe I'll feel better if and when BLizzard ever get back to me, but this just seems ridiculous now, it's not that they sell your stuff it's that the little cunts are so vindictive and even delete your chars, bags, gear, trade skills etc.

Anyway, I'll see what happens but whatever I decide to do I won't leave the guild high and dry I'll be back to sort that out at least Smile
